Position Description: The Baker is responsible for all aspects of the preparation of baked goods, pastries, and fillings.


Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Execute all recipes from start to finish
  • Execute a manageable production schedule in order to fulfill preorders and daily production requirements for bakery operations
  • Keep the kitchen organized and tidy


Job Tasks:

  • Measure out ingredients
  • Mix/combine ingredients
  • Portion, shape, cut recipes
  • Bake or cook batters, doughs, or fillings to correct doneness
  • Decorate, garnish, portion final product
  • Place final product on display
  • Replenish display cases regularly
  • Ensure that final products meet exact specifications and high standards required
  • Anticipate order volume needs for upcoming production days
  • Plan work schedule to execute correct quantities of each recipe or sub-recipe
  • Manage ingredient inventory quantities and communicate to kitchen manager what ingredients are needed prior to designated vendor order cutoff times


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must possess careful attention to detail, excellent listening skills, a team mentality, and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure kitchen environment
  • Exhibit the knowledge and skills to assist in product development of original recipes for new menu items
  • Demonstrate knowledge of baking ingredient function and reactions
  • Be proficient in mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
  • Possess knowledge of baking measurements and ability to use measurement tools for both weight and volume, including conversions
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of hygiene and kitchen safety standards and the discipline to enforce those standards
  • Food Handler’s Certification required, which can be obtained within the first 30 days of employment
  • Proficiency in English required, proficiency in Spanish a plus
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a commercial kitchen required
  • Diploma or Degree as Chef de Pâtisserie a plus

Position Description: The Barista provides excellent customer service with prompt drink preparation and quality beverages and products in a clean and comfortable store environment.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Preparation of all hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, teas, iced tea, and cold brew coffee, including house-made coffee flavorings; must possess great attention to detail in order to follow recipes and procedures 
  • Oversee and execute the timely fulfillment of drink orders and ensure that other items (food, pastries, etc.) arrive to the customers 
  • Anticipate store environment by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
  • Oversee and execute the overall cleanliness and orderly operation of coffee/bus station
  • Follow all operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and security to ensure the safety of all staff members during each shift
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products

Position Description: The primary responsibility of a Busser/Runner is to assist with the operations of the front and back of house. The Busser/Runner must reset tables in a speedy, professional, and effective manner as guests leave the restaurant; and to bring food and drinks out to customers once they have ordered. Bussers/Runners are also responsible for the grooming of the entire restaurant and its perimeters, supporting service staff with refills and clearing tables, and assisting in the fulfillment of various ticket items.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Resetting and cleaning around tables after customers leave the restaurant
  • Carrying dishes to and from the kitchen into the service area
  • Maintaining the overall cleanliness of the bakery
  • Assisting service staff with fulfilling orders
  • Managing tickets so as to ensure that all items in a customer’s order are served to them in a timely and courteous manner

Job Tasks:

  • Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift
  • Promptly greet guests with a smile as they enter the bakery and guide them to the ordering area
  • Quietly and promptly clean and sanitize tabletops, chairs, highchairs, and booths after guests leave
  • Take tableware to dishwashing station and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing
  • Assist in cleaning up spills
  • Constantly check the floor and clean as required
  • Reset and arrange tabletops
  • Inspect restrooms every 15 minutes, clean, and restock as needed
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests and either assist the guest or communicate the request to a service staff member immediately
  • Communicate with service staff members to assure efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service
  • Deliver food and drinks to tables, following all food safety guidelines
  • Restock dining area utensils, napkins, creamers, water pitcher, etc.
  • Smile and thank guests as they are leaving
  • Show flexibility in terms of your schedule to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the manager or supervisor
  • Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness
